S. - Standards, the 3 upright petals
F. - Falls, the three lower petals
Beards- the fuzzy caterpillar looking area on the falls
RE - Reblooms again in the fall
SA - Space Age, an iris with an extra appendage at the end of the beard, ie: horns, spoons, flounces
FR - Fragrance
E - Early bloom
M - Mid bloom
L - Late bloom
Rhizome - the bulb of an iris plant.
TB - Tall bearded, over 27"
BB - Border bearded, 16-27"
IB- Intermediate bearded, 16-27" early bloom
